Inquiry-Based Learning in Math, Science, & Technology

Uniform Dress Policy
Research indicates that uniform dress instills pride and promotes unity. We, therefore, require students to wear uniform dress colors every day. Uniform dress colors are a khaki or navy blue bottom (slacks or skirt), and a solid navy blue or solid burgundy top (polo shirt, button-up shirt, T-shirt, or blouse). All shirts must be tucked in and pants must be worn with a belt at the waist. Attire such as sagging pants and tall-tees diminish our pride and self-respect and therefore will not be allowed. Commercial logos and/or graphics are not permitted; however, order forms are available if you wish to purchase shirts with the Compton-Drew logo on them. Any attire that distracts from the academic environment is not appropriate. Hats, purses, jackets, etc. are to remain in the locker during the school day. Athletic shoes are permitted, however, sandals and/or flip-flops are not permitted as they may present a safety hazard.
